Friday’s high school roundup: Late score lifts Warsaw past Snider | High Schools

In 2025, Snider suffered a loss in the season’s opening week to Warsaw that saw the Panthers end up with their worst record in school history. While Snider showed signs of improvement at Fisher Field in Warsaw on Friday night, the Tigers rallied from down 12 points after three quarters to knock off the Panthers, 33-30.

Warsaw (1-0) faced a difficult challenge after a Snider punt saw the Tigers start a drive at their own 1-yard line, trailing 30-25 with 2 minutes, 41 seconds remaining in regulation. But Warsaw would need just 22 seconds to traverse the 99 yards, then narrowly converted the two-point try to take a 33-30 lead.

HUNTINGTON NORTH 45, EASTBROOK 13: In Marion, the Vikings (1-0) took a 31-7 halftime lead to improve to 2-4 against the Panthers (0-1) since resuming the series in 2021.

HERITAGE 21, NEW HAVEN 2: In Monroeville, Lucas Taylor scored three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving) to give the Patriots (1-0) the win in the first meeting between the schools since 2017. The Bulldogs (0-1) avoided the shutout by recording a safety in the final four minutes of the contest.

SOUTHERN WELLS 21, ELWOOD 0: In Poneto, the Raiders (1-0) picked up their first win over the Panthers since 2023.

WOODLAN 21, PRAIRIE HEIGHTS 0: In Woodburn, Griffin Clear ran for two touchdowns and passed for a third as the Warriors (1-0) improved to 10-0 against the Panthers in the regular season since 2011.

BLUFFTON 42, SHENANDOAH 6: In Bluffton, Cooper Craig scored on runs of 3, 6 and 32 yards for the Tigers (1-0), who also got three touchdowns from Axton Beste (two rushing, one passing).
