NILES OH-  Poland on a mission to once again prove they are still the top dogs of the NE8, and the Bulldogs once again came through with another impressive conference victory on Monday, this time taking down the Niles Red Dragons, 5-0.

Senior Michael Hostel was off to a fast start, helping to get the Bulldogs offense going with not one but two goals early in the first half, as Poland would take a 2-0 lead into the halftime break.

The Bulldogs offensive pursuit was relentless, keeping the Red Dragons on their heels. Lucas Henn would strike mere moments after returning from halftime to get another goal on the board, while Renzo Tukalo would knock in a pair of his own, as Poland would pull away for another strong conference win to start the new season.

Logan Ramsey was also locked in tending the goal, recording another clean sheet and Poland’s defense aided in not allowing Ramsey to face too much oncoming heat from the Dragons throughout the night, as the Bulldogs forced their third straight shutout victory.

With the win, Poland improves to 3-1 on the year and will look to keep rolling as they return home for the first time this season, preparing for a home opener matchup on Thursday as the Crestview Rebels come to town. Niles (0-2) will look to rebound as they will head on the road to Hubbard on Thursday for a conference battle with the Eagles.
