It’s official: a special new member has joined the When Calls the Heart family.
The hit Hallmark show has sparked plenty of romantic relationships over the years—including a real one, like the one between Erin Krakow (who plays Elizabeth Thornton) and her husband, Ben Rosenbaum (who portrays Mike Hickam). The couple married back in June 2025, and by the end of the year, they announced that they were expecting their first child together.
Well, fans got the news they’ve been waiting for, as Erin and Ben made an emotional family announcement via People. The Hallmark stars welcomed a daughter back in April—and they shared with the outlet how elated they are for this new chapter in their lives.
“Our precious new family member entered the world in early April,” Erin and Ben revealed in an official statement. “Our daughter has been the greatest gift, and we are loving getting to know her better with each passing day.”
What’s more, the couple noted that while things are different, they couldn’t be happier to start this journey as a family of three.
“It’s already hard to remember life before she arrived,” Erin and Ben added. “We are loving our roles as parents, and it feels like being parents together has only deepened our partnership. We are, however, a bit more tired, and Erin—who was a non-coffee drinker previously—has had a change of heart on the matter.”
When fans learned about Erin and Ben’s life-changing update, they had to celebrate with well-wishes online.
“Congratulations, you guys! So much love for your new little family 💕,” one person wrote on Instagram. “Ahhhhhhhhhh Beauty!!! Wonderful news. Gigantic congratulations! Welcome to the world, little one. ❤️❤️🎉 🎉🙌🙌,” another cheered. “Ohh! Congrats! Enjoy every cuddle, every tiny milestone, and this wonderful new chapter of your lives. 💝🍼,” a different follower added.
We’re so thrilled for them—and they aren’t the only ones from the When Calls the Heart cast enjoying baby bliss.
As fans learned back in May, Kevin McGarry (who plays Nathan Grant) and his wife, Kayla Wallace (who portrays Fiona Miller), welcomed their first child earlier this year. And in a surprise announcement that also came on June 24, Chris McNally (who plays Lucas Bouchard) and his girlfriend, Julie Gonzalo, welcomed their second daughter together.
