Kyoto Sanga F.C. have announced that defender Shinnosuke Fukuda will join Polish club Legia Warsaw on loan. The loan deal runs until 30 June 2027.

Fukuda has been with Kyoto since 2023 and has made four appearances, scoring one goal, in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE this season.

Fukuda commented through the club:

“I have decided to join Legia Warsaw in Poland on loan. First of all, I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to say goodbye to you all in person and that this move comes just after the season has started. It has been about three and a half years since I began my professional career with Kyoto Sanga F.C. Every day and every match has been incredibly stimulating. As Kyoto’s football gradually took root and proved itself in the J.League, the club itself continued to grow, and I could feel the atmosphere and intensity at the stadium changing. I’m happy to have been part of the club through those years of change.

“Above all, I loved the chants you created and sang for me. Every time I heard them, they fired me up, and the words and your voices helped me through so many moments. As the lyrics say, I’ll keep fighting to climb as high as I can towards my dreams as a professional footballer! There is still so much I want to say as all these emotions come flooding back. Thank you for giving me so much support, love and belief over the past three and a half years! I’ll keep working hard so that what I achieve from here can give you energy. I’m off!”
