Luczak, a 6-foot-11 center from Wrocław, Poland, played seven games for the Polish National Youth Team, averaging 3.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 46.2% from the field.

One of his strongest performances came against Czechia, when he recorded four points, 10 rebounds and a team-best plus-18 efficiency rating. He later scored a season-high eight points against Lithuania.

The win over Czechia also secured Poland’s place in Division A of the tournament. Poland finished 11th after losing to Serbia.

“It was a really special experience for me,” Luczak said. “Being able to represent Poland was something I was very proud of. I worked hard to get that opportunity, so being there and competing against some of the best players in Europe meant a lot to me.”

Before joining Columbia State as a freshman for the 2025-26 season, Luczak played basketball and graduated from the Academy of Central Florida in Orlando.

Columbia State men’s basketball coach Winston Neal said the program was proud of Luczak for representing Poland and Columbia State in the European championship.

Luczak returns to Columbia State for the fall 2026 semester as he finishes his time with the Chargers. He said the international experience helped him learn to play faster, make quicker decisions and stay focused throughout each possession.

“The level of competition was very high, and I saw that small details can make a big difference,” Luczak said.
