PIGEON FORGE TN- Poland put together a gritty double-dip sweep Thursday at Ripken, taking down Elizabethtown 8-7 in an 11-inning marathon before turning around and knocking off PikeView 3-1—and yeah, Leanna Boccieri was at the center of just about everything.

Game 1: Poland 8, Elizabethtown 7 (11 innings)

This one was a straight-up war. Poland found themselves in a 6-2 hole late, but didn’t flinch. They chipped away, stayed alive, and then flat-out outlasted Elizabethtown in extras.

Boccieri was an absolute nightmare at the plate—4 hits in 5 trips, spraying the ball all over and coming through when it mattered most. The biggest swing? An RBI knock in the 11th that gave Poland the lead for good.

Elizabethtown had their moments early, including an inside-the-park shot from Demi Cleaver that helped swing momentum, but Poland kept answering. Down four late? No problem. They tied it at six in the seventh behind clutch extra-base hits, then finished the job in extras.

Ali Blinsky went the distance-plus in the circle, grinding through over 10 innings while striking out eight. Not always pretty, but tough as nails. Avery Jakubovic drove in three, and Poland stacked up 11 hits in the win.

Game 2: Poland 3, PikeView 1

Short turnaround, same story—Boccieri stayed scorching hot.

She went yard twice—both inside-the-park jobs—and that was all Poland needed in a pitcher’s duel. First inning? Boom. Fifth inning? Boom again. Just like that, 2 runs on the board from one bat.

Madison Medvec handled the rest. She spun a complete game, gave up just three hits, and punched out 11. Total command. PikeView scratched one across late, but never really threatened beyond that.

Poland added a little insurance with a Blinsky RBI knock, played clean defense, and even turned a double play to snuff out momentum.

Bottom line—Poland walks out of Ripken with two wins, a lineup that’s heating up, and Boccieri swinging it like she’s locked into cheat code mode.
