Leo boys golf stretched its conference title streak to five in a row at Cobblestone Golf Course on Saturday while Bluffton earned back-to-back ACAC titles at Cross Creek.
The top of the NE8 field was tightly-packed, but there was not a weak link in the Lions lineup, which shot 298 as a team. Caden Matthias shot a 1-over-par 73 to earn medalist honors, and Leo’s Christian Hicks and Jay Henney, along with Bellmont’s Jacob Binegar and Huntington North’s Jude Davis, all shot 74 to tie for second. Leo’s Brooks Opliger carded a 77 to place sixth and Fenton Gerardot posted a score of 78 to finish seventh.

Bluffton defended its ACAC title with a team score of 320, and had the top three individual placers: Reid Abbett and Declan Grieser each shot 78 (Abbett claimed medalist honors) and Rafe Gerber carded an 80.

Warsaw finished second at the NLC Championship at Pretty Lake Golf Course on Saturday, shooting 304 to place behind Plymouth, which shot 295. But because the Tigers were the top NLC team during the regular season and placed second at the conference tournament, Warsaw is the overall boys golf conference champion based on the combined standings.
Warsaw’s Quinton Fifer shot 74 at the conference meet to tie for second and Isaac Summers was fifth, carding a 75. All five members of the Tigers lineup (Fifer, Summers, Breckin Christner, Luke Baumgartner and RJ Ayers) were named to the NLC All-Conference team. Wawasee’s Hudson Cripe, who shot 78 on Saturday, was an honorable mention.
