First Warsaw, then Bucharest, Chisinau, now Budapest.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In 2025, centrist Nicusor Dan won \u2060a presidential election in Romania and Moldova&#8217;s pro-European ruling party won a resounding victory over its Russia-aligned rival.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Tusk had \u200brepeatedly criticized \u200bnL8N40C139 Orban&#8217;s government for \u200bits close ties with \u200cMoscow.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;I&#8217;m glad that this part of Europe is showing that we are not doomed to corrupt and authoritarian governments, because that&#8217;s what Victor Orban&#8217;s government unfortunately became after many years in power.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Neighbors Poland and Hungary are linked \u200cby their long, shared history, \u200bclose trade ties and cooperation within \u200bthe European Union \u200band NATO.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Tusk said he had spoken with \u200cTisza leader Peter Magyar to \u200bcongratulate him on \u200bhis victory.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;We briefly discussed his visit to Warsaw,&#8221; Tusk said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;As you know, he long ago chose Warsaw \u200bas his \u200cfirst visit for quite obvious reasons.
