{"id":11780,"date":"2026-06-14T10:05:11","date_gmt":"2026-06-14T10:05:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/poland\/11780\/"},"modified":"2026-06-14T10:05:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-14T10:05:11","slug":"etihad-airways-expands-europe-network-with-new-direct-flights-to-krakow-and-palma-de-mallorca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/poland\/11780\/","title":{"rendered":"Etihad Airways expands Europe network with new direct flights to Krak\u00f3w and Palma de Mallorca"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ABU DHABI \u2013 <a class=\"incontent_tags_class\" href=\"https:\/\/www.travelsdubai.com\/tag\/etihad airways\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Etihad Airways<\/a> has expanded its European footprint with the launch of two new direct routes connecting Abu Dhabi with Krak\u00f3w in Poland and Palma de Mallorca in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>The new services, launched in June 2026, mark another step in the airline\u2019s international growth strategy while strengthening Abu Dhabi\u2019s position as a major global aviation hub.<\/p>\n<p>The UAE\u2019s national airline inaugurated <a class=\"incontent_tags_class\" href=\"https:\/\/www.travelsdubai.com\/tag\/flights\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">flights<\/a> to Krak\u00f3w on 11 June and Palma de Mallorca on 12 June, with both routes operating three times weekly using the advanced Airbus A321LR aircraft. The additions bring new travel options for leisure and business passengers while offering seamless connections through Abu Dhabi to destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, India and Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer at Etihad Airways, said the new routes reflected the airline\u2019s ambitions in <a class=\"incontent_tags_class\" href=\"https:\/\/www.travelsdubai.com\/tag\/europe\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Europe<\/a> and its focus on expanding travel opportunities for customers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKrak\u00f3w and Palma de Mallorca are two of the continent\u2019s most captivating destinations, and by connecting them directly to our home in Abu Dhabi we are opening new possibilities for leisure travellers, businesses and communities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Polish expansion<\/p>\n<p>The launch of Krak\u00f3w marks Etihad\u2019s latest move in the Polish market, following the introduction of services to Warsaw in June 2025. The new route provides Southern Poland with a direct premium long-haul connection to Abu Dhabi and expands access to Etihad\u2019s wider global network.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/poland\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/etihad-airways-expands-europe-network-new-direct-flights-krak-w-palma-de-mallorca-1781334877-5944.jp.jpeg\" width=\"650\" height=\"447\" alt=\"\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Etihad is currently the only airline offering a First cabin between Krak\u00f3w and the Gulf region, providing passengers with an elevated travel experience. The historic Polish city, known for its cultural heritage, medieval architecture and UNESCO-listed Old Town, now has a direct connection to Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n<p>Krak\u00f3w\u2019s attractions include the iconic Wawel Castle, historic streets, vibrant arts scene and renowned dining culture, making it one of Europe\u2019s most popular destinations for international visitors. The new route is expected to support greater connectivity for travellers exploring both Poland and the UAE.<\/p>\n<p>Mediterranean link<\/p>\n<p>Just one day after launching its Krak\u00f3w service, Etihad introduced its new route to Palma de Mallorca, creating the first direct connection between the Balearic Islands and the East. The service links Abu Dhabi with the capital of Spain\u2019s Balearic Islands, opening a new gateway to Mallorca, Ibiza and the wider archipelago.<\/p>\n<p>The route is operated by the Airbus A321LR, featuring private First suites and lie-flat Business seats designed for premium comfort. The aircraft offers an enhanced experience across all cabins, including high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>Palma de Mallorca combines Mediterranean scenery with centuries of history, from the famous La Seu Cathedral and the old town\u2019s narrow streets to luxury marinas, coastal landscapes and local cuisine. The island\u2019s beaches, secluded coves, hilltop villages and natural surroundings continue to attract visitors from around the world.<\/p>\n<p>Premium experience<\/p>\n<p>The Airbus A321LR brings a wide range of upgraded features to Etihad\u2019s new routes. The aircraft\u2019s First cabin includes two private suites with sliding doors, allowing passengers to dine, work and relax in a more private setting. The seats convert into fully flat beds and include features such as 20-inch 4K screens, wireless charging and Bluetooth connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>The Business cabin offers 14 lie-flat seats, all positioned by the window with direct aisle access.
