“In our view, it (the US presence \u2014 ed.) should be increased where it is truly needed, namely on the eastern flank where there is a threat. That is the key issue,” the Polish foreign minister emphasized.<\/p>\n
The second key issue, he said, is the cancellation of the US visa of wanted former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro, who, according to investigators, is hiding in the United States from fraud charges related to the Justice Fund.<\/p>\n
“Zbigniew Z. is not a journalist; he is a deputy leader of the main opposition party and a member of parliament. He should be in the Sejm, in Warsaw, not in the United States, so I hope the president will demand the cancellation of this fraudulent visa,” the minister said, adding that such precedents should not exist between allied countries.<\/p>\n

Rados\u0142aw Sikorski also commented on the 35th anniversary of the Polish-German Treaty on Good Neighbourship and Friendly Cooperation, calling the economic results of cooperation impressive.<\/p>\n
He noted that over this period, trade between the two countries has increased thirtyfold, with daily turnover reaching half a billion euros. As a result, Poland, together with the Czech Republic, has become a larger trading partner for Berlin than the United States or China.<\/p>\n
