Here\u2019s the pitch deck it used \u2014 TFN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deloittedigital.com\/us\/en\/insights\/research\/personalizing-growth.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">half of consumers<\/a> say personalisation in retail does not work well, and 90% of marketers value <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcg.com\/publications\/2021\/the-value-of-first-party-data\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">first-party data<\/a>, but less than 30% use it effectively across all channels. Retailers usually have three parts: data systems to collect information, engagement platforms like Braze, <a href=\"https:\/\/techfundingnews.com\/shopify-invests-100m-in-marketing-automation-startup-klaviyo\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Klaviyo<\/a>, or Bloomreach to send messages, and until now, nothing in between to make decisions.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in January 2025, Warsaw-based Replenit calls itself the \u201cdecision layer,\u201d adding reasoning between a retailer\u2019s data warehouse and its marketing tools. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/bogazici\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Ilyas Kurklu<\/a>, co-founder and CEO, describes the company to TFN as the \u201cpre-frontal cortex of global commerce.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It aims to be an AI decision engine for retail, working on top of current marketing tools to make real-time, personalised decisions for every customer. For every customer, Replenit decides when to reach out, what action to take, such as sending a replenishment reminder, cross-sell, upsell, churn-saving offer, and which channel to use, including email, SMS, app push, web push, or WhatsApp.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the company announced a $2.5 million in a pre-seed round, led by <a href=\"https:\/\/techfundingnews.com\/sun-store-europe-solar-procurement-6m-funding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Movens Capital<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/techfundingnews.com\/female-led-vastpoint-launches-e18m-fund-to-back-polands-next-wave-of-founders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Vastpoint<\/a>, with backing from Logo Ventures, DigitalOcean Ventures, <a href=\"https:\/\/techfundingnews.com\/roamless-12m-series-a-global-esim-operator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Finberg<\/a>, Caucasus Ventures, and angel investor <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.linkedin.com\/in\/matiii\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Mati Staniszewski<\/a>, CEO and co-founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/techfundingnews.com\/elevenlabs-500m-series-d-11b-valuation-sequoia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">ElevenLabs<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Building a \u2018decision layer\u2019 of retail AI<\/p>\n<p>Replenit was founded by Ilyas Kurklu, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/karacaev\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Alp Karacaev<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ckaracaev\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Cenk Karacaev<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/canerdemir2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Caner Demir<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/fatih-%C3%B6zden-48a21a1a3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">\u00d6mer Fatih \u00d6zden<\/a>, and Egemen Akdan. Five out of six co-founders worked at Insider, which became a unicorn in 2022 after raising $121 million and reaching a $2 billion valuation by 2023. Four were also shareholders.<\/p>\n<p>Replenit\u2019s choice to be a \u201cdecision layer\u201d is strategic, as it avoids direct competition with the biggest players. Unlike Dynamic Yield, Insider, and SAP Emarsys, the startup figures out what a customer plans to do next by reading their behaviour for clues about intent and context. Replenit stands out with its \u201cmachine theory of mind,\u201d a reasoning system inspired by how people understand each other\u2019s thoughts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn real use, Replenit can create a unique, automated journey for each of a million customers. It keeps adjusting the timing, product, and message for every person, all without manual rules,\u2019 Kurklu explains to TFN.<\/p>\n<p>Retailers using Replenit have seen up to 340% more repeat-purchase revenue and a 53% boost in CRM channel performance, all without sending more messages, according to the company. The platform integrates only with <a href=\"https:\/\/techfundingnews.com\/databricks-7b-raise-134b-valuation-lakebase-genie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Databricks<\/a>, Salesforce, Braze, Bloomreach, and Klaviyo, working alongside existing marketing tech to make buying easier and avoid migration costs.<\/p>\n<p>What comes next<\/p>\n<p>Choosing Warsaw as the headquarters was a strategic move. Even though VC investment in Central and Eastern Europe fell by 23% in 2024 and deals dropped by over 70% since 2022, the number of startups and the ecosystem\u2019s value are still rising. Replenit sees Warsaw\u2019s engineering talent, EU access, and lower costs as key advantages over cities like London or Amsterdam.<\/p>\n<p>The $2.5 million will go toward product development, AI research, and team growth in Poland and the Netherlands.
