Hungary has revoked the refugee status of the former Polish Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro and his deputy Marcin Romanowski, who in their homeland face accountability for abuse of power.<\/p>\n

They, in turn, say they have become victims of a political \u201cwitch hunt,\u201d as they investigated alleged violations by people close to the current Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.<\/p>\n
On May 9, the day Hungary\u2019s new prime minister P\u00e9ter Magyar took office, Ziobro flew to the United States from Milan.<\/p>\n
According to the agency, Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau ordered to facilitate issuing him a visa. Landau and the State Department declined to comment on this information.<\/p>\n
Romanowski\u2019s whereabouts are unknown.<\/p>\n
