These involve provocations that could take place in the coming months.

Possible scenarios under consideration include drone or missile strikes on Poland’s critical infrastructure, particularly power plants, as well as staged air attacks that would force Poland’s air defense system to go on high alert.

At the same time, Polish intelligence agencies do not rule out a more dangerous turn of events. According to one scenario, small groups of Russian or Belarusian military personnel could deliberately cross the Polish border, after which Moscow would attempt to explain this as a technical error, a GPS malfunction, or an alleged rescue operation.

Media sources note that the Kremlin may be counting on Western allies to prioritize negotiations over an immediate military response. In that case, Russia will try to portray the withdrawal of its forces as the result of diplomatic agreements rather than pressure from NATO.

Moscow may also use the situation to make political demands, particularly regarding the reduction or cessation of military support for Ukraine in exchange for de-escalation.

A source close to the Polish president stated that the U.S. regularly informs Warsaw about new risk assessments related to possible Russian actions against NATO’s eastern flank.

Information about the existence of such a threat was also confirmed by a diplomat from one of the Alliance countries, a representative of the Polish Ministry of Defense, and a source from the security services of one of the Baltic states.

According to them, the Kremlin may be considering accusing Ukraine of orchestrating a provocation in order to heighten tensions among its allies.

Analysts and diplomats speculate that, should such a scenario unfold, Russia could operate from the Kaliningrad Oblast or Belarus. At the same time, Polish military officials emphasize that they have already practiced similar scenarios during exercises and are prepared to respond to potential hybrid threats.

According to media sources, Moscow has not yet made a final decision on implementing such a plan, but the possibility of a provocation remains a serious concern for NATO allies.

Media sources report that Russia may carry out provocations in the coming months Serhiy Malamura News editor at…

[2
323,9,10474,126,423
post-15315","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-poland","tag-nato","tag-poland","tag-provocation","tag-russia","tag-united-states
["GET
