International Justice Mission has taken an important step in Poland by equipping law enforcement officers with modern tools to investigate human trafficking. Over four days in Warsaw, IJM trained Polish and Ukrainian officers on digital investigative techniques, recognizing that traffickers increasingly operate online to recruit victims, coordinate criminal activity and hide financial flows.

Equipping Law Enforcement With Practical Digital Tools

Through hands-on sessions, officers strengthened skills in online investigations, social media intelligence and cryptocurrency tracing. These tools enable investigators to better identify trafficking networks, uncover digital evidence and disrupt organized crime operations. By focusing on practical application, the trainings helped ensure that new skills could be applied immediately in ongoing and future cases.

Reducing Harm and Supporting Survivors

The use of digital evidence also plays a critical role in reducing the burden placed on survivors during investigations. By gathering strong digital trails, law enforcement can build cases that rely less heavily on survivor testimony, helping reduce retraumatization while strengthening accountability for perpetrators.

Laying the Foundation for Long-Term Justice

These first IJM-led trainings in Poland mark the beginning of deeper collaboration with public justice systems in the country. This work fits squarely within IJM’s global mission to protect people from violence by strengthening justice systems so that laws are not only written but effectively enforced. In Poland, these early partnerships lay the foundation for lasting justice, ensuring survivors can pursue safety and restoration while traffickers are held accountable.

Summary: Recently IJM trained Polish and Ukrainian law enforcement officers in Warsaw to investigate human trafficking in the…

[2
1396,1393,1387,1390,1389,1395,1397,1388,9,1385,1392,1394,1391,1386,45
0":"post-1544","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-poland","8":"tag-capacity","9":"tag-changing","10":"tag-enforcement","11":"tag-human","12":"tag-investigate","13":"tag-justice","14":"tag-laid","15":"tag-officers","16":"tag-poland","17":"tag-polish","18":"tag-rapidly","19":"tag-strengthened","20":"tag-trafficking","21":"tag-ukrainian","22":"tag-warsaw
["GET
