{"id":16820,"date":"2026-07-13T12:35:05","date_gmt":"2026-07-13T12:35:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/poland\/16820\/"},"modified":"2026-07-13T12:35:05","modified_gmt":"2026-07-13T12:35:05","slug":"poland-proposes-permanent-us-military-base-in-western-part-of-country","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/poland\/16820\/","title":{"rendered":"Poland proposes permanent US military base in western part of country"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>13 July 2026 16:00<\/p>\n<p>Poland has proposed that the United States establish a permanent military base in the western part of the country as part of efforts to strengthen NATO&#8217;s presence on its eastern flank.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Defence Minister Cezary Tomczyk announced the proposal during an interview with RMF FM radio, saying Warsaw had already submitted an official request to Washington earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>In early June, Polish Defence Minister W\u0142adys\u0142aw Kosiniak-Kamysz said the government had formally proposed the creation of a permanent U.S. military base on Polish territory.<\/p>\n<p>Tomczyk said two potential locations had been identified: the Greater Poland and Lower Silesia regions.
