The Poland Township and Poland Village Police Department phone lines were temporarily unavailable on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

The announcement was made on the Poland Township Police Department Facebook page.<\/p>\n

Anyone in the region experiencing an emergency was encouraged to dial 911 or 330-259-1730 for non-emergencies.<\/p>\n

Around 9 p.m., Poland Township Trustee Frank DeMain told 21 News that phone lines to both police departments were operational again.<\/p>\n

As of nearly 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, several Valley residents are without power, according to the FirstEnergy website.<\/p>\n

Across Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties, 5,705 people are in the dark. In Poland specifically, 274 customers are experiencing an outage.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in Mahoning County, 1,165 Springfield Township customers are without power. In Mahoning County alone, 3,824 people are reporting an outage.<\/p>\n

The following outages are reported in other portions of the region:<\/p>\n

Trumbull County – 1,670 customers<\/p>\n

Columbiana County – 211 customers<\/p>\n

Power to most communities experiencing an outage is expected to be restored by 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. on Saturday.<\/p>\n
