Kaitlyn McCarthy explains some of the damage.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n                    &#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce the storm came through, our township administrator, the other trustees, they were really quick to respond and get our road department out. Our chief of police was working with our officers to make sure that they were checking on everyone in the township, and then the fire department is out there responding to calls in order of priority,\u201d said DeMain.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, near Kathdin Drive, one young resident says he was home with his dad when he heard a tree fall over, feeling the ground shake once it landed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy heart was kind of racing because I didn\u2019t know if anything bad was going to happen,\u201d said Joey Ernes.<\/p>\n<p>As of nearly 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, several Valley residents were without power, according to the FirstEnergy website.<\/p>\n<p>                        <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAQAAAADCAQAAAAe\/WZNAAAAEElEQVR42mM8U88ABowYDABAxQPltt5zqAAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==\" alt=\"Storm Damage Poland\" class=\"img-responsive lazyload full blur\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" data- data-\/><\/p>\n<p>             <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/poland\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/6a5c4b9645ced.image.png\" alt=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\" loading=\"lazy\" height=\"113\" width=\"200\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Across Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties, 5,705 people were in the dark. In Poland specifically, 274 customers were experiencing an outage.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in Mahoning County, 1,165 Springfield Township customers were without power. In Mahoning County alone, 3,824 people were reporting an outage.<\/p>\n<p>The following outages were reported in other portions of the region:<\/p>\n<p>Trumbull County &#8211; 1,670 customers<\/p>\n<p>Columbiana County &#8211; 211 customers<\/p>\n<p>As of 11:55 p.m. on Saturday, outages are now reported in the following counties as:<\/p>\n<p>Mahoning County: 1,320 outages<\/p>\n<p>Trumbull County: 109 outages<\/p>\n<p>Columbiana County: 293 outages<\/p>\n<p>At the peak of the outage hours, Mahoning County saw 3,828 outages, while Trumbull County saw around 1,600. In Columbiana County, outage numbers reached a peak of 308 customers in the dark.<\/p>\n<p>Power to most communities experiencing an outage was expected to be restored by 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. on Saturday.
