Passengers arriving in the Polish capital will be able to use Uber\u2019s electronic kiosks to book a ride without needing the app.<\/p>\n<p>This week, Uber\u2019s electronic kiosks \u2013 known as \u2018tap to ride\u2019 kiosks \u2013 will be launched at Warsaw Chopin Airport, according to a press release from the company. How do they work? The electronic kiosks will allow passengers to book an Uber journey from the airport to the city centre or any other specified destination without needing the app or an internet connection. All you need to do is select your destination on the kiosk, choose the type of journey and pay by card. The customer will receive all the necessary information for the journey on a printout and via text message.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Tap to ride\u2019 kiosks could be a real boon for many passengers. There\u2019s no need to have the Uber app on your phone or set up an account; you simply select your destination and pay quickly. Although Warsaw Airport offers Wi-Fi, an internet connection isn\u2019t always available afterwards to track the journey and payment.
