A top Polish official warns that daily cyber probes and impersonation campaigns are part of a coordinated Russian effort to destabilize Poland, urging vigilance and official verification.<\/p>\n
As RMF24 reports, Poland\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski said on air.<\/p>\n
Russia is intensifying hybrid attacks against Poland, combining cyberattacks on critical infrastructure with large-scale disinformation campaigns and cyber espionage.<\/p>\n
Poland\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs, Krzysztof Gavkovsky, said this on RMF24.<\/p>\n
Hybrid Attacks and Disinformation<\/p>\n

According to Gavkovsky, Poland\u2019s information systems, including critical infrastructure facilities, are subjected daily to hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of cyberattack attempts.<\/p>\n
The government official noted that the Russian Federation is increasingly directing resources toward information operations against Poland, using \u201ctroll farms\u201d, bots, messaging apps and social networks to spread disinformation and destabilize the country.<\/p>\n
Gavkovsky also spoke about a new campaign in which criminals impersonate Polish high-ranking officials. According to him, fake accounts with names, photos, and other officials\u2019 data are created on messaging apps Signal and WhatsApp, through which scammers contact government agencies, scientific institutes and companies with state participation, attempting to obtain official information or persuade interlocutors to take certain actions.<\/p>\n
We are dealing with deliberate actions by security services, including Russian ones, that seek to destabilize the situation in various ways, including through such operations in messaging apps<\/p>\n

According to Gavkovsky, recommendations have already been developed for government agencies and enterprises on how to respond to such fraud attempts.<\/p>\n

He also urged citizens to critically assess information circulating on the Internet, as Russia and Belarus use all available channels of communication to destabilize the situation in Poland.<\/p>\n
According to government sources, there has recently been an uptick in Russia\u2019s activity near Poland\u2019s airspace.<\/p>\n
The situation is being monitored by the relevant services, and citizens should verify information from official sources and avoid manipulation.<\/p>\n
