REUTERS<\/p>\n<p>One person was killed and two more injured in the capital, emergency services said, with six \u200bmore, including two children, killed in the Dnipropetrovsk region. One person was killed in Poltava, regional officials said.<\/p>\n<p>In Zelenskiy\u2019s hometown, the \u2060central city of Kryvyi Rih, two girls aged 5 and 12 were among the six killed, with eight injured in what Oleksandr Vilkul, the city\u2019s defense council \u200bhead, said was a direct strike by a Russian Iskander-M ballistic missile.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA dark night,\u201d Vilkul said on Telegram, adding that the missile, launched from Russia\u2019s Voronezh region, struck \u200bthe home of a large family, and warned the death toll could increase as emergency workers clear away rubble.<\/p>\n<p>In Lviv, close to Poland, rescue workers were scrambling to clear rubble to reach those trapped after Russian missiles damaged two apartment buildings and injured 26, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Zelensky had warned a massive Russian attack was likely, saying the safety of Ukrainians depended on the willingness of \u200ballies to provide anti-missile defenses.<\/p>\n<p>Local residents react outside a residential building partially destroyed as a result of Russian missile strikes in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv on July 30, 2026. REUTERS<\/p>\n<p>ATTACKS CONTINUE ON RUSSIA\u2019S TOP ONLINE RETAILER<\/p>\n<p>A warehouse of Russian top online retailer Wildberries caught fire in the western city of Penza after \u200bUkraine\u2019s drone attack, regional governor Oleg Melnichenko said \u200bon Telegram.<\/p>\n<p>One person was injured and \u2060about 200 people evacuated from the site, he added, just a day after the company, which has become a frequent target of Ukraine\u2019s attacks,\u00a0evacuated\u00a0another facility in central Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Another of its facilities, in Sarapul in Russia\u2019s Udmurtia region, also caught fire after \u200ba drone attack, the company said separately on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>First responders operate at a residential building partially destroyed as a result of Russian missile strikes in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv on July 30, 2026. AFP via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Its losses pile on the pain for ordinary Russians, some of whom have \u200bmade online sales their main \u2060source of income, as Ukraine\u00a0continues\u00a0hitting energy facilities and refineries, deepening the fuel crisis in the world\u2019s largest country by area.<\/p>\n<p>Drone strikes have damaged nearly a dozen Wildberries warehouses recently, destroying about 10% of storage capacity and inflicting losses on tens of thousands of small businesses using the platform, the company and local authorities say.<\/p>\n<p>Russia\u2019s biggest bank, Sberbank, has warned \u2060it may \u200bhave to boost loan-loss provisions as attacks on Wildberries hit the finances of online retailers and their \u200bsuppliers.<\/p>\n<p>Russia downed a total of 258 drones overnight, its defense ministry said. That figure covers Russian-occupied parts of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Reuters could not independently verify the reports.
