{"id":21334,"date":"2026-08-14T20:22:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T20:22:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/poland\/21334\/"},"modified":"2026-08-14T20:22:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T20:22:09","slug":"poland-advances-apache-program-with-in-country-helicopter-service-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/poland\/21334\/","title":{"rendered":"Poland Advances Apache Program With In-Country Helicopter Service Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/dronefront.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">&#13;<br \/>\n    <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/poland\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/WhatsAppVideo2026-05-15at09.23.58.gif\" alt=\"The Drone Front\" width=\"1280\" height=\"539\"\/>&#13;<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Poland has agreed with US aerospace giant Boeing to establish a local support base for Warsaw\u2019s incoming fleet of <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefensepost.com\/2025\/11\/03\/poland-apache-helicopters-delivery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">AH-64E Apache Guardian attack helicopters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Signed with Polish state enterprise Wojskowe Zak\u0142ady Lotnicze Nr 1 (WZL-1) and the Military Central Bureau of Design and Technology (WCBKT) in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.pl\/web\/obrona-narodowa\/w-polsce-powstaje-centrum-serwisowe-smiglowcow-apache\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">deal<\/a> paves the way for building what officials described as a major Apache support hub in Europe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the arrangement, Boeing will provide technical expertise and training to WZL-1 for organizational and intermediate-level maintenance, repair, and overhaul assistance, alongside select depot-level component repairs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Boeing and WCBKT will also test Polish-made ground support equipment for compatibility with the rotary-wing aircraft.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once inaugurated, the facility will initially sustain the national fleet before expanding services to foreign Apache operators.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSigning these agreements marks a significant milestone in Boeing\u2019s partnership with Poland and demonstrates our enduring commitment to supporting the Polish Armed Forces through robust, in-country sustainment and maintenance capabilities,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/boeing.mediaroom.com\/news-releases-statements?item=131706\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">said<\/a> Marc-Olivier Sabourin, vice president of EICLA &amp; Training Solutions at Boeing Global Services.<\/p>\n<p>Almost 100 Helicopters by End of Decade<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The domestic sustainment center directly supports Warsaw\u2019s 2024 contract worth approximately $10 billion <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefensepost.com\/2025\/11\/03\/poland-apache-helicopters-delivery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">for 96 AH-64E Guardians<\/a>, making the Polish Armed Forces the second-largest international Apache operator in the world after the US military.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deliveries under that acquisition are scheduled to run from 2028 through 2030.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFor WZL-1, establishing the largest Apache support infrastructure in Europe is both a responsibility and a natural extension of our core business activities,\u201d WZL-1 CEO Jacek Goszczy\u0144ski commented on the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a agreement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis agreement will enable us to provide support to the Polish Armed Forces, significantly enhancing their operational capabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"&#13;
