Video recorded by wildlife photographer Grzegorz Ry\u0144ski<\/a> (@gregryn198) showed the animal flooring the man and pressing toward him again whenever he tried to get back up.<\/p>\n After shouting for the tourist to remain still, Ry\u0144ski brought his vehicle nearer so the man would have a safe route out. The tourist then made it to the car and got away.<\/p>\n According to Ry\u0144ski’s wife, the man suffered a wound to his leg as well as several bruises.<\/p>\n The incident echoed a Yellowstone bison attack<\/a> in which a visitor was thrown about eight feet into the air and seriously injured.<\/p>\n Why does it matter?<\/p>\n Encounters like this dramatic wildlife moment are often framed as ruthless animals attacking innocent humans, but many of these situations are preventable.<\/p>\n Large animals, such as European bison, may appear calm from a distance, but they are still wild and can react instantly if they feel threatened, cornered, or crowded.<\/p>\n When a wild animal harms a human, even if it was responding naturally to someone getting too close, the animal itself can face severe consequences, including euthanasia.<\/p>\n Emergency response efforts, medical treatment, and tighter visitor restrictions can follow.
