Hope Valley might want to start baking the wedding cake now because if Erin Krakow has her way, Elizabeth and Nathan\u2019s (Kevin McGarry) big day will be worth every second of that \u201cslow burn\u201d romance<\/a> on When Calls the Heart.<\/p>\n

Soaps.com caught up with Krakow at Hallmark\u2019s \u201cThe Heart of Hope Valley\u201d experience on March 18 in Los Angeles, and she was thrilled that Hearties were finally seeing the moment they were waiting for on the final episode of Season 13: Elizabeth and Nathan\u2019s engagement.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got one episode left of the season, babe,\u201d Krakow jokes. \u201cWe don\u2019t have time to waste, right? Let\u2019s go. I\u2019m hearing it from the fans. They are\u2026 itching. They\u2019re itching, and we want to scratch that itch.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scratch away, but we wanted to know what type of bride Elizabeth might be the second time around, since the series already did a grand wedding with her first husband<\/a>, Jack Sr. (Daniel Lissing). Krakow gave it some thought before responding, \u201cI think we\u2019d better make the wedding different this time. I have no idea. I\u2019m excited to get to tell that story and give the fans, hopefully, what they want, but it\u2019s really not for me to decide what it looks like or how it\u2019s executed. Let\u2019s see.\u201d<\/p>\n

The wedding remains a mystery, but let\u2019s hope it will be sometime in Season 14, which is expected to air in 2027. The next season will also include the return of Abigail Stanton<\/a> (Lori Loughlin), which feels fitting for their friendship.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the right time for her to come back to the landscape. Everything in its time \u2014 Elizabeth needs her right now,\u201d says Krakow.<\/p>\n

She also appreciates that When Call the Heart\u2018s writers continue to remember the legacy of Jack Sr., especially for LJ aka \u201cLittle Jack\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that\u2019s something that our show really wanted to maintain is Jack Sr.\u2019s memory, especially since they had a child together. I mean, LJ is always going to have questions about his dad,\u201d Krakow adds.<\/p>\n

Even with a wedding on the horizon, When Calls the Heart will always be an ensemble show \u2014 and that\u2019s coming straight from the star herself.<\/p>\n

\u201cNathan and Elizabeth are obviously a very beautiful and central romantic storyline, if I may say so myself,\u201d Krakow says proudly. \u201cBut I think we really see the ways that the community comes together to support every character, relationship, and family in Hope Valley. They\u2019re always there for each other. It\u2019s become such a beautiful and true ensemble show, and it\u2019s an honor to get to be a part of that Hope Valley community.\u201d<\/p>\n
