The water level in the Vistula River within Warsaw has dropped to a new all-time low. The reading is the lowest in approximately 70 years of observations.<\/p>\n

On September 9, at the Warsaw-Bulwary hydrological measuring station, the water level in the Vistula was 94\u201395 cm, a record low for that station since records began in the 1950s.<\/p>\n

Prior to that, the record had been broken last week with a reading of 98 cm. At the Warsaw-Nadwilan\u00f3wka station, the water level was recorded at 15 cm.<\/p>\n

Record lows were also recorded throughout August 2026.<\/p>\n

In France, small rivers<\/a> have reached record-low levels.<\/p>\n

More than 300,000 people were evacuated<\/a> in France and Spain due to massive wildfires that swept through regions of Southern Europe. In southwestern France, in the Gironde region, more than 220,000 residents left their homes. The fire there has spread across approximately 32,700 hectares of land.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, French passengers who purchased train tickets to the region around Bordeaux will be able to<\/a> exchange or refund them free of charge. This decision was made due to the massive wildfires that have complicated the situation in the area.<\/p>\n
