French President Emmanuel Macron visited the Polish city of Gda\u0144sk on April 20, where he met with Prime Minister Donald Tusk as part of an intergovernmental summit between the two countries.<\/p>\n
The visit coincides with Polish-French Friendship Day and marks the first summit since the signing of an enhanced cooperation agreement between France and Poland in May 2025 in Nancy, Caliber.Az<\/a> reports per Polish media<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The agreement envisions expanded collaboration across a wide range of sectors, including security, defence industry cooperation, countering hybrid threats, as well as economic, agricultural, and scientific ties.<\/p>\n During the visit, Macron and Tusk are scheduled to take part in a ceremony at the French Military Cemetery in Gda\u0144sk, where soldiers from Napoleon Bonaparte\u2019s army are buried.
