GOSHEN, Ind. (WNDU) – Goshen baseball will host Warsaw on Wednesday after opening conference play with a win over Northridge.<\/p>\n
The RedHawks are 5-2 this season and coming off their first IHSAA 4A sectional title since 2008<\/a> and first trip to the semi-state since 1981<\/a>. Nine seniors return on the roster.<\/p>\n \u201cA lot of good athletes down there not just on the baseball field but a lot of them play multi sports. A lot of good strong athletes,\u201d said Goshen head coach JJ DuBois about the Warsaw Tigers. \u201cThey will have good pitching. They are a little inexperienced there but they have a lot of talent there. They will be able to swing it so we are just going to execute our pitches and we have a great pitching coach that makes sure we have the right calls and hopefully able to execute the pitches that are called.\u201d<\/p>\n Braxton Cline, Goshen senior shortstop, said Warsaw has a strong pitching staff and hitters.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are just looking to go out there and play our best game,\u201d Cline said.<\/p>\n First pitch is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n Stay up to date on local news with WNDU<\/a> on-air and online.
