RTX propulsion segment Pratt & Whitney has unveiled a $100-million investment to broaden its production capabilities in Rzesz\u00f3w, Poland.<\/p>\n

The move expands ongoing manufacturing efforts for the company\u2019s military and commercial engines, including the geared turbofan (GTF) family, the F135 for the F-35 Lightning II aircraft<\/a>, and the F100 for the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon jets.<\/p>\n

Part of the funding will be utilized to establish a new hub that will incorporate solutions for isothermal forging processes, including heat treatment, sonic machining, and associated quality inspections, growing output of critical engine parts, such as rotating compressor and turbine disks.<\/p>\n

The Rzesz\u00f3w initiative follows a similar project worth $200 million for the company\u2019s center in Columbus, Georgia<\/a>, where new systems are being installed to increase production capacity by roughly 30 percent.<\/p>\n

Both the Polish and American locations are expected to be fully operational by 2028.<\/p>\n

\u2018Continued Commitment\u2019<\/p>\n

According to RTX, the investment strengthens its industrial footprint in Poland, which represents its largest investment and workforce base outside the US.<\/p>\n

Currently, the enterprise holds more than 9,400 roles across the NATO country, with the workforce distributed across its subsidiaries Pratt & Whitney, Raytheon, and Collins Aerospace.<\/p>\n
