When Calls the Heart\u2019s Erin Krakow<\/a> is rooting for Lori Loughlin<\/a>\u2019s return to Hope Valley sooner rather than later following her exit in 2019.<\/p>\n

When asked whether we\u2019ve gotten \u201cany closer\u201d to seeing Loughlin\u2019s character, Abigail Stanton, back on the Hallmark Channel show<\/a>, Krakow, 41, exclusively told Us Weekly, \u201cI sure hope so.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI love Lori Loughlin, and I love the character she created, Abigail Stanton,\u201d Krakow, who plays lead character Elizabeth Thornton, said while promoting her latest Hallmark movie, Christmas Above the Clouds<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The actress revealed that Loughlin rejoining the show is \u201csomething I\u2019ve been hoping for<\/a> for years and years.\u201d She added, \u201cI\u2019m very much a fan of hers and a friend of hers, so I really hope that it\u2019s happening.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBittersweet memories. Lori Loughlin previously told Us Weekly that she had a \u201creal family\u201d on the set of Hallmark\u2019s When Calls the Heart. \u201cI love everyone I work with. We have a real family,\u201d the Full House alum, 54, gushed to Us in February 2018 ahead of the series\u2019 season 5 premiere. \u201cThere are many [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been six years since Loughlin\u2019s Abigail was on When Calls the Heart. Hallmark cut ties with the actress<\/a> in March 2019 after she was arrested for her alleged part in the college admissions scandal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Loughlin and then-husband Mossimo Giannulli<\/a> were charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and wire fraud, as well as money laundering after allegedly paying for their daughters, Bella, 27, and Olivia Jade, 26, to be admitted to the University of Southern California as crew recruits. Loughlin and Giannulli, 62, pleaded guilty in May 2020 to charges of wire and mail fraud, and served two months<\/a> and five months, respectively, in jail. (Us confirmed in October that Loughlin and Giannulli had separated after nearly 28 years<\/a> of marriage.)<\/p>\n

In wake of the scandal, Loughlin was written off When Calls the Heart<\/a> during season 6.<\/p>\n

During the May 2019 episode, Krakow\u2019s character, Elizabeth, told her fellow Hope Valley residents that Abigail (Loughlin) had to rush off to care for her sick mother.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbigail is much more than a friend, she\u2019s family. I will miss her and Cody deeply \u2014 we all will, but we must get by as best we can,\u201d Elizabeth said. \u201cIn her absence, we must soldier on and we will. We are a community, we are strong, we are Hope Valley.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the years since Loughlin\u2019s prison release, fans and her former castmates have voiced a desire to have her come back to the show.<\/p>\n

In June 2024, both Krakow and Kevin McGarry, who plays Mountie Nathan Grant, exclusively told Us<\/a> that they would welcome the actress back with open arms.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think there\u2019s been lots of people that [have] said we\u2019d love to have her back,\u201d McGarry, 40, told Us, explaining, \u201cIt\u2019s not our decision of course.\u201d<\/p>\n

Krakow said she would one \u201c1,000 percent\u201d like to see Loughlin rejoin the cast, adding, \u201cShe\u2019s an incredible person, a very dear friend. She\u2019s got a real good heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Krakow shared, \u201cPeople don\u2019t even know how special a person she is<\/a>, and it would be wonderful to have her back in Hope Valley.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Loughlin\u2019s official return has not been confirmed, Hallmark has started to show her past movies on the network again.<\/p>\n

In July 2022, Loughlin\u2019s Garage Sale Mysteries<\/a> films were made available on the network\u2019s streaming service<\/a>. Two years later, Hallmark rebranded its streamer as Hallmark+ and Loughlin\u2019s complete mystery collection lives on the site. As of this year, various Garage Sale Mysteries have also aired on Hallmark Channel.<\/p>\n

Krakow, meanwhile, will return for season 13<\/a> of When Calls the Heart sometime in 2026. Until then, fans can see her and Tyler Hynes in Christmas Above the Clouds, which premieres on Hallmark Channel Saturday, November 8, at 8 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
