Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have completed an Operational Resilience Training course at a training facility in Poland, focused on mental resilience, the AFU General Staff has reported.<\/p>\n
According to a post on the agency\u2019s Telegram channel, the aim of the training was to provide participants with specific tools and knowledge in the following areas: psychological first aid \u2013 how to support comrades directly on the front line; emotion management \u2013 techniques for preventing an acute stress reaction in critical situations; and coping with grief and loss \u2013 processes necessary to preserve operational combat capability despite painful losses.<\/p>\n
Among the participants in the training were, in particular, servicemen responsible for training new recruits for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
The event was the result of close and professional cooperation with the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Norway, the Military Medical Institute of the Polish Armed Forces and the Combined Arms Training Command (CAT-C), which coordinates the training of Ukrainian servicemen as part of the European Union\u2019s EUMAM Ukraine mission.<\/p>\n
EUMAM Ukraine is the European Union Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine, aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend Ukraine\u2019s territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, as well as to deter and respond to possible future military offensives by Russia and other potential aggressors.<\/p>\n
