{"id":5841,"date":"2026-05-10T17:20:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-10T17:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/poland\/5841\/"},"modified":"2026-05-10T17:20:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-10T17:20:08","slug":"hon-hai-establishes-partnership-with-polish-auto-firm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/poland\/5841\/","title":{"rendered":"Hon Hai establishes partnership with Polish auto firm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hon Hai Precision Industry Co (\u9d3b\u6d77\u7cbe\u5bc6) has teamed up with a state-owned automotive developer in Poland as they consider establishing an electric vehicle (EV) production and research and development (R&amp;D) center in the European country.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement released on Thursday, AI server maker and iPhone assembler Hon Hai, known globally as Foxconn Technology Group (\u5bcc\u58eb\u5eb7), said the company has established a strategic partnership with ElectroMobility Poland SA (EMP) with the aim of building the technological and operational capabilities of the EV ecosystem in Poland and the broader region.<\/p>\n<p>Hon Hai\u2019s EV development subsidiary Foxtron Vehicle Technologies Co (\u9d3b\u83ef\u5148\u9032) and EMP are exploring the idea of setting up a production and R&amp;D center in Poland in partnership.<\/p>\n<p>                        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/poland\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/P09-260511-601.jpg\" width=\"100%\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Photo courtesy of Hon Hai Precision Industry Coa<\/p>\n<p>Business Insider, a Polish news outlet, reported that EMP and Hon Hai are likely to open an EV hub in Jaworzno, southern Poland.<\/p>\n<p>The report said EMP had discussed cooperation with China\u2019s Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd (\u5409\u5229\u6c7d\u8eca) and Chery Automobile Co (\u5947\u745e\u6c7d\u8eca) but the talks failed to yield any results amid concerns that Chinese partners could be hesitant to transfer key technologies. As a result, EMP turned to Hon Hai, the report added.<\/p>\n<p>In the Hon Hai statement, chief strategy officer for EV operations Jun Seki said the company is committed to accelerating electric mobility through open platforms, scalable manufacturing and deep technological collaborations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to support EMP by sharing our EV platforms, vehicle development expertise and engineering capabilities to build an AI enabled manufacturing facility,\u201d Seki said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTogether, with Foxtron, we will foster local R&amp;D and strengthen supplier networks to effectively serve the European market,\u201d Seki added.<\/p>\n<p>EMP CEO Cyprian Gronkiewicz praised Hon Hai for its expertise in next-generation mobility, saying success increasingly depends not only on traditional automotive capabilities, but also on digital solutions and supply chain efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the era of connected vehicles, data management and cybersecurity are becoming critical differentiators.
