Gaz-System\u2019s unit which operates the Swinoujscie LNG terminal said on Monday via its social media channels that it had begun testing the fourth LNG truck loading bay.<\/p>\n
The company said the expansion of the capacity is a response to the market\u2019s growing interest in small-scale LNG services.<\/p>\n
The launch of the new loading bay is planned for the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
Currently, approximately 40 trucks are being loaded at the Swinoujscie LNG terminal each day at the three truck loading bays.<\/p>\n
Since 2016, Gaz-System has loaded over 55,500 trucks with LNG.<\/p>\n
With the launch of the fourth bay, Gaz-System will be able to load 20 more trucks per day, bringing the total to 60.<\/p>\n
Poland\u2019s LNG deliveries hit a new record last year<\/a> due to the\u00a0expansion of the Swinoujscie facility.<\/a><\/p>\n The expanded terminal now has a total regasification capacity of about 8.3 bcm per year, and the increased capacity has been available since January 1, 2025.<\/p>\n The expansion included the third 180,000-cbm tank and an additional jetty, which allows unloading, loading, and bunkering operations of small-scale vessels.<\/p>\n Qatar and the US are the leading suppliers of LNG to Poland as part of long-term contracts, while the US has been the dominant supplier in the last couple of years.<\/p>\n In addition to this facility, Gaz-System aims to launch Poland\u2019s first FSRU-based LNG import facility in Gdansk <\/a>in the first quarter of 2028.<\/p>\n Poland\u2019s Orlen previously\u00a0booked the entire 6.1 bcm per year of regasification capacity<\/a>\u00a0at the FSRU-based facility, as is the case with the Swinoujscie facility.<\/p>\n
