Sting, Summers e Copeland criaram o The Police em 1977. O primeiro álbum deles foi ‘Outlandos d’Amour’ (1978). Depois vieram ‘Reggatta de Blanc’ (1979), ‘Zenyatta Mondatta’ (1980), ‘Ghost in the Machine’ (1981) e ‘Synchronicity’ (1983). Entre seus maiores hits estão canções como ‘Roxanne’, ‘Message in a Bottle’, ‘Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic’ e ‘Every Breath You Take’.
