O triatleta portugu\u00eas de 25 anos alcan\u00e7ou o feito depois de ter terminado em 5.\u00ba lugar a final\u00edssima, o que lhe permitiu segurar a 3.\u00aa posi\u00e7\u00e3o do ranking. Acabou a 22 segundos do p\u00f3dio e a pouco mais de um minuto do campe\u00e3o do Mundo, o australiano Matthew Hauser (1:42.42 horas) \u2014 o espanhol David Cantero ficou em segundo (1:43.15 horas) e o italiano Alessio Crociani em terceiro (1:43.22).<\/p>\n
Portugal, de resto, foi o \u00fanico pa\u00eds a colocar tr\u00eas triatletas no top 15: Miguel Tiago Silva foi 7.\u00ba (1:43.54 horas) e Ricardo Batista 15.\u00ba (1:44.45 horas).<\/p>\n
Com estes resultados, Ricardo Batista concluiu o Mundial em 12.\u00ba (2.089,91 pontos) e Miguel Tiago Silva escalou para 18.\u00ba (1.689,57).<\/p>\n
No feminino, Maria Tom\u00e9 foi 20.\u00aa na final\u00edssima (1:59.28 horas), terminando o Mundial em 18.\u00ba (1.638,66 pontos).
