Syria breaks diplomatic ties with Ukraine in support of Russia

  1. Didn’t Ukraine do it before? Like, isn’t it pathetic to “cut diplomatic ties” with someone after they have cut diplomatic ties with you?

  2. Assad is not the legitimate govt. He is a leader without popular support that is standing with foreign militias and airforce while his people has become either destitute or refugee.

  3. I’m unsurprised, unfortunately… Not only is Assad pro Russia for obvious reasons but [it’s been shown ](https://yle.fi/news/3-12525251) that Russia is investing in Arabic language disinformation campaigns even in Europe, so the Syrian public has very, very limited sources on information about what’s actually going on.

  4. when you’re on the same side as Iran, Russia, Syria and North Korea you should probably start questioning the nature of your reality… (or in other words “are we the baddies?”)

  5. So now the circle of Russia’s closest friends include a puppet state with a wannabe Soviet colonel as its leader, a psycho state with a tiny balls dictator, a genocidal religious regime and a failed state wrecked by, among others, Russia itself.

It is like The Shitty League of Nations. They are made for each other!

  6. Thanks Asad for clearing Ukraine and allowing for Turkish and Israeli shipping and trading houses to monopolize Ukrainian agro trade in the Middle East.

The Syrian State and private sector are mostly bankrupt anyway but it’s nice of you to make sure that when the hunger begins nothing will reach the northern Levant
