Acesta a avut anterior vizite \u00een Rom\u00e2nia pentru a conduce pe Transalpina \u015fi Transf\u0103g\u0103r\u0103\u015fan, iar \u00eentr-o vizit\u0103 mai recent\u0103 a ajuns s\u0103 se al\u0103ture unui grup de pasiona\u0163i de BMW-ul M din Rom\u00e2nia \u015fi Moldova, \u00een sesiuni de drift dincolo de limitele obi\u015fnuite ale oric\u0103ror experien\u0163e similare. Dar acea vizit\u0103 \u00een Rom\u00e2nia a fost extins\u0103 \u015fi mai mult, acesta ajung\u00e2nd a fi martor la o ie\u015fire \u00een offroad \u00een mun\u0163ii Carpa\u0163i, cu modele japoneze echipate cu motoare BMW.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tToat\u0103 aventura pare s\u0103 porneasc\u0103 de undeva prin Bistri\u0163a-N\u0103s\u0103ud, iar austriacul a dat peste un grup de pasiona\u0163i de offroad din Rom\u00e2nia, care \u015fi-au transformat offroader-ele japoneze \u00eentr-un mod foarte interesant.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tPe l\u00e2ng\u0103 pun\u0163ile imense specializate, suspensii, troliuri, cu\u015fti de protec\u0163ie, anvelope uria\u015fe \u015fi tot echipamentul de offroad imaginabil, ace\u015ftia \u015fi-au echipat cu to\u0163ii ma\u015finile cu motorul BMW M57. Fie c\u0103 e vorba de Suzuki Vitara sau de mai multe exemplare Nissan Patrol \u2014 toate aveau sub capot\u0103 motorul M57. Ba chiar \u015fi singurul model non japonez, un Jeep Grand Cherokee, avea acela\u015fi motor M57.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tMotorul M57 e unul diesel, de 3,0 litri \u015fi 6 cilindri \u00een linie, produs de BMW \u00eentre anii 1998 \u015fi 2013, la fabrica de motoare BMW din Steyr, Austria. Versiunile ini\u0163iale aveau blocul motor realizat din font\u0103, iar dup\u0103 a doua actualizare tehnic\u0103 motorul a trecut la bloc din aluminiu.
