{"id":10043,"date":"2026-04-23T07:52:12","date_gmt":"2026-04-23T07:52:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/russia\/10043\/"},"modified":"2026-04-23T07:52:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T07:52:12","slug":"sa-violinist-naomi-tagg-scoops-artist-of-the-year-in-moscow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/russia\/10043\/","title":{"rendered":"SA Violinist Naomi Tagg Scoops \u2018Artist of the Year&#8217; in Moscow!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\tOne of SA\u2019s own just earned a prestigious award on an internationally renowned stage, after performing with a full orchestra for the very first time!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>South Africa (23 April 2026) \u2013 South African violinist Naomi Tagg has returned from Moscow with a prestigious award in her bag!<\/p>\n<p>Tagg has earned the top honours of \u2018Artist of the Year \u2013 South Africa\u2019 at the 8th <a href=\"https:\/\/bravopremia.org\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">BraVo International Music Awards.<\/a> A wonderful achievement for a South African artist on a world-renowned stage!<\/p>\n<p>The grand gala was held at the monumental and historic Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, where it brought together star performers from dozens of countries around the globe, spanning ballet, opera, classical and contemporary music.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-184614\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/russia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/naomi-tagg-awards.jpeg\" alt=\"SA Violinist Naomi Tagg Scoops \u2018Artist of the Year' Honours in Moscow!\" width=\"853\" height=\"1280\"  \/>Photo Credit: Naomi Tagg<\/p>\n<p>Tagg says that representing SA on an esteemed international stage was a great honour.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an incredible honour to stand on a stage like that and represent South Africa,\u201d she says. \u201cWe have such depth of talent in this country, and moments like this show that our artists can stand confidently on any stage in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Naomi\u2019s extraordinary performance on the Bolshoi stage was also a first, as she played alongside a full orchestra, performing her own classical crossover arrangement of Asturias.<\/p>\n<p>Naomi has spent more than two decades building a career as an electric violinist.
