Den avskalade stj\u00e4rnan ger ledtr\u00e5dar f\u00f6r att b\u00e4ttre f\u00f6rst\u00e5 hur och var grund\u00e4mnen som svavel och kisel bildas.<\/p>\n<p>Exploderande stj\u00e4rnor \u2013 supernovor \u2013 dyker pl\u00f6tsligt upp p\u00e5 natthimlen och lyser i n\u00e5gra veckor. Avancerade teleskop kan ibland uppt\u00e4cka mycket ovanliga explosioner. En s\u00e5dan \u00e4r supernovan SN 2021yfj som flammade upp i stj\u00e4rnbilden Valfisken \u2013 cirka tv\u00e5 miljarder ljus\u00e5r fr\u00e5n jorden. Den observerades i september 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Det h\u00e4r var f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen vi s\u00e5g en exploderande stj\u00e4rna som i princip var helt avkl\u00e4dd. Den visar oss hur stj\u00e4rnor \u00e4r uppbyggda och att de kan f\u00f6rlora mycket material innan de exploderar, s\u00e4ger astronomen Steve Schulze, tidigare forskare vid Oskar Klein-centret, i ett pressmeddelande fr\u00e5n Stockholms universitet.<\/p>\n<p>Stj\u00e4rna med s\u00e4llsynta grund\u00e4mnen <\/p>\n<p>Analysen av observationer fr\u00e5n flera teleskop avsl\u00f6jade str\u00e5lning fr\u00e5n material rikt p\u00e5 svavel och kisel runt den exploderande stj\u00e4rnan. Detta st\u00e5r i kontrast till alla tidigare studerade supernovor.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 St\u00f6rre delen av universum best\u00e5r av v\u00e4te och helium, men vi har tidigare funnit exploderande stj\u00e4rnor som faktiskt saknar dessa grund\u00e4mnen och i st\u00e4llet inneh\u00e5ller mestadels kol, syre och kv\u00e4ve.
