Modellen kan generera\u00a0hundratals m\u00f6jliga v\u00e4derscenarier p\u00e5 under en minut\u00a0och k\u00f6rs effektivt p\u00e5 en enda TPU\u00a0(Tensor\u00a0Processing\u00a0Unit\u00a0\u00e4r en\u00a0specialiserad h\u00e5rdvarukrets\u00a0utvecklad f\u00f6r att snabba upp ber\u00e4kningar som \u00e4r vanliga i neurala n\u00e4tverk och maskininl\u00e4rning), vilket g\u00f6r den\u00a0upp till \u00e5tta g\u00e5nger snabbare\u00a0\u00e4n tidigare metoder.\u00a0WeatherNext\u00a02 kan ocks\u00e5 leverera h\u00f6gre uppl\u00f6sning\u00a0n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller\u00a0tid, med prognoser\u00a0ned till timniv\u00e5, och uppges \u00f6vertr\u00e4ffa den tidigare\u00a0WeatherNext\u2011modellen p\u00e5\u00a099,9 procent av variabler och ledtider.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tekniskt bygger\u00a0WeatherNext\u00a02 p\u00e5 en ny metod som Google kallar en\u00a0Functional\u00a0Generative\u00a0Network\u00a0(FGN). Modellen tr\u00e4nas p\u00e5 s\u00e5 kallade\u00a0marginals\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0enskilda v\u00e4dervariabler\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0men l\u00e4r sig samtidigt att skapa sammanh\u00e4ngande prognoser som f\u00e5ngar hur olika v\u00e4derfenomen h\u00e4nger ihop. <\/p>\n<p>Google g\u00f6r b\u00e5de prognosdata och verktyg tillg\u00e4ngliga f\u00f6r andra.\u00a0Data fr\u00e5n\u00a0WeatherNext\u00a02 finns nu i\u00a0Earth Engine\u00a0och\u00a0BigQuery, och Google erbjuder ett tidigt \u00e5tkomstprogram f\u00f6r modellk\u00f6rning via\u00a0Vertex\u00a0AI\u00a0p\u00e5 Google Cloud.
