I intervjun sa Kumazawa:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">N\u00e4r man tittade p\u00e5 spelet n\u00e4r det var multiplayer var skr\u00e4ckdelen v\u00e4ldigt vild. Men i den versionen gjorde vi ett spel som var roligt att spela. Men vi tittade djupt in i det h\u00e4r spelet och undrade om ett fan av franchisen verkligen skulle gilla det h\u00e4r.&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">S\u00e5 vi trodde att de f\u00f6rmodligen inte skulle njuta av det lika mycket. Det \u00e4r anledningen till att vi gjorde det tillbaka till singleplayer. Det finns n\u00e5gra \u00e5terst\u00e5ende element, men vi kan inte avsl\u00f6ja vad det \u00e4r och hur det \u00e4r.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Men n\u00e4r Kumazawa pressades om de &#8221;\u00e5terst\u00e5ende elementen&#8221; skrattade han bort det. Beslutet att g\u00e5 tillbaka till seriens gr\u00e4sr\u00f6tter baserades p\u00e5 fansens mottagande, vilket Kumazawa sa om:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Jag tror att fans av serien vill ha survival horror och bli skr\u00e4mda. Det \u00e4r det fr\u00e4msta som fansen vill ha. S\u00e5 n\u00e4r vi s\u00e4ger det kan vi inte bara s\u00e4tta p\u00e5 nya skinn och nya karakt\u00e4rer och ge dig samma upplevelse.&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Det skulle inte vara bra. Det \u00e4r d\u00e4rf\u00f6r vi ville se till att vi lade till nya element som s\u00e4kerst\u00e4llde att det h\u00e4r k\u00e4nns som ett nytt \u00f6verlevnadsskr\u00e4ckspel.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Requiem utlovas f\u00f6lja i fotsp\u00e5ren av 2017 \u00e5rs Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, som \u00e5terupplivade franchisen efter tv\u00e5 d\u00e5ligt mottagna mainline-delar, inklusive 2009 \u00e5rs Resident Evil 5 och 2012 \u00e5rs Resident Evil 6. Resident Evil Requiem kommer att f\u00f6lja samma action-skr\u00e4ckfilosofi som Biohazard och lovar skr\u00e4msel \u00e4nda till slutet.&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Tidiga intryck fr\u00e5n Gamescom och PAX West har visat att Resident Evil Requiem \u00e4r ett skr\u00e4ckspel med kurrag\u00f6mma d\u00e4r spelarna navigerar i tr\u00e5nga utrymmen samtidigt som de f\u00f6rs\u00f6ker undkomma en smartare fiende som av spelarna kallas &#8221;Big Mama&#8221;.&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\"> Resident Evil Requiem har redan passerat 2 miljoner \u00f6nskelistor p\u00e5 alla plattformar i november och \u00e4r f\u00f6r n\u00e4rvarande det fj\u00e4rde mest \u00f6nskelistade spelet p\u00e5 Steam.
