A GoFundMe has been launched to help support the family of a Palmdale man who died in a hit-and-run crash earlier this month. in Valencia.
On April 10, 2026, Dion Mumphery, 39, from Palmdale, was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash on Magic Mountain Parkway near Tourney Road in Valencia, leaving a family mourning and devastated.
“This tragedy was completely unexpected, and our family is unprepared for the financial hardship of memorial arrangements,” friends and family said in a GoFundMe. “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved brother and are struggling to cope with the reality of his sudden passing.”
The family is hoping to raise enough money to see Dion’s body before it is cremated.
“Unfortunately, this is a time-critical situation,” the family said. “In order for our family to be able to view Dion’s body in physical form before he is cremated, we must act quickly. We have no other choice than to reach out to our community for support.”
Dion is survived by his oldest son, Natthen, his son Jacob, and his youngest daughter, Phelony.
Nearly two weeks after the crash, Brian Foraker, 67, of Castaic, turned himself in to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Foraker was booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station jail and was charged with felony hit-and-run.
