Barça Women are unstoppable as Pere Romeu’s team add another league title to their collection, the 11th in FC Barcelona’s history. Of those title seven have come in the last seven seasons, underlining the blaugranes’ dominance and opening up a gap over Athletic Club, their nearest rivals with five league titles.
Second best run in Europe’s top leagues
Barça Women have now recorded the second best ever run of league title victories in Europe’s top leagues, overcoming Chelsea’s record of six in a row. Ahead of them lie only Olympique Lyonnais who claimed the French league title on 14 consecutive occasions between 2006 and 2020.
Moving past 100 goal mark
Not only do Barça’s trophies show their dominance, but also their goalscoring ability. This season is the sixth time they have claimed the league title with more than 100 goals scored. In 2020/21 they managed a grand total of 167 goals, followed by 159 (2021/22), 137 (2022/23), 118 (2023/24), 137 (2024/25) and 116 so far this season with five games still to go.
As well their prowess in attack, Barça have excelled defensively as this is the seventh consecutive league title victory conceding 15 goals or less.
Alexia, player with most league titles
A name stands out in recent league title wins, that of Alexia Putellas. The Catalan midfielder has won more than anyone else in the squad with no less than nine to her name, just ahead of another blaugrana legend, Aitana Bonmatí who has seven.
