Brazilian influencer Virginia Fonseca has confirmed the end of her relationship with Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, bringing an end to one of Brazil’s most followed celebrity romances after around 8 months together publicly.

The announcement came only a day after Fonseca was seen at the Santiago Bernabéu supporting the Real Madrid winger during Los Blancos’ 2-0 win over Real Oviedo, a moment many fans believed had put recent breakup rumors to rest.

Instead, Fonseca returned to Instagram today with a long statement in her story confirming that the couple decided to separate while maintaining mutual respect.

“I will always allow myself to live. Living something real, without fear, without calculations and without stopping who I am,” she wrote on her Instagram story.

“While we were together, I devoted myself a lot, as I dedicate myself to everything I intend to do in my life. After all, I’ve always worked hard, always been very focused on my dreams and my responsibilities. But I’m also a woman, and I allowed myself to live this without creating any barriers, valuing the respect I have always had within any relationship.”

Their relationship had frequently attracted attention in Brazilian entertainment media, especially after recurring rumors linking the footballer to conversations with other women resurfaced online in recent weeks.

The couple’s romance had already experienced turbulence earlier in the relationship, with Vinícius previously apologizing publicly after controversy surrounding alleged exchanges with other women. Despite the speculation, the pair stayed together and officially went public with their relationship in October 2025.

Virginia Fonseca Says Breakup With Vinicius Happened With “affection”

Fonseca later hinted at deeper issues that may have contributed to the split, saying she had learned not to compromise on things she considers “non-negotiable.”

“Throughout my life, I’ve learned never to negotiate what, in my opinion, is non-negotiable. So when something doesn’t make sense, I’d rather have the maturity to close with affection than remain for it,” she added.

The influencer then directly confirmed the breakup, writing: “Today, we choose to respect each other’s way. I cheer a lot for Vinícius’ happiness and success, and all of that with lots of affection.”

She closed the message by asking for privacy moving forward.

“I ask for the respect of everyone and that it should be a page turned in the life of everyone, just as it will be in mine!”

The split comes a month after Vinicius publicly celebrated Fonseca’s birthday with an affectionate tribute on social media, calling her “my love”.
