SkyGrid, a Boeing company pioneering high-assurance airspace integration, and ENAIRE, Spain’s National Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP), have recently signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This strategic alliance is designed to accelerate the development and deployment of U-space and Innovative Air Mobility (IAM) across Spain.

Building upon a foundational relationship between Boeing Aerospace Spain and ENAIRE, this corporate partnership establishes a collaborative framework for advanced Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I). Together, both organizations will champion the safe, secure, and highly efficient integration of next-generation autonomous flight operations into the global airspace ecosystem.

The joint initiative focuses on driving systemic growth within the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) sector and establishing commercial infrastructure for advanced aerial mobility:

Enrique Maurer, Director General, ENAIRE stated “At ENAIRE, we are committed to leading the transformation of Spain’s airspace into a modern, digital, and sustainable ecosystem. Partnering with SkyGrid brings world-class expertise in autonomous systems to enable the development of Innovative Air Mobility.”

Jia Xu, CEO, SkyGrid stated “This agreement marks a significant milestone in SkyGrid’s mission to build the digital and airspace infrastructure for the future of aviation. Spain is uniquely positioned in U-space deployment in Europe, and we look forward to working side by side with ENAIRE.”

Charting the Path Forward

Through structured knowledge exchange and the exploration of pioneering technological solutions, this alliance secures Spain’s position at the forefront of the European aviation evolution. By combining SkyGrid’s sophisticated autonomous traffic management software with ENAIRE’s premier air navigation architecture, the partnership introduces an elegant blueprint for the future of global enterprise aviation.
