The Spanish government on Monday urged all parties involved in the Middle East conflict to fully comply with ceasefire commitments and refrain from returning to acts of violence that endanger civilians, damage critical civilian infrastructure and undermine regional stability.
In a statement, the Spanish government reiterated that dialogue and diplomacy are the only ways to resolve the issues in the region.
Spain called for an immediate de-escalation of the situation and stressed that a solution must be reached through dialogue in order to end the conflict and promote lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.
Over the past few days, a fragile truce between the U.S. and Iran has been severely strained by escalating tit-for-tat strikes, while the Israel-Hezbollah conflict in southern Lebanon has reignited despite a truce extension.

International gold and silver prices both dropped on Monday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures for August delivery fell 0.04 percent to settle at 4,363.40 U.S. dollars per ounce, while silver futures for July delivery dropped 0.75 percent to close at 68.585 dollars per ounce.
