King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain are parents to two daughters—Princess Leonor, who will one day take the throne, and Princess Sofia.
The sisters are famously close, and had a busy, multifaceted day on June 7.
After meeting with the pope, the two took in a Bad Bunny concert together in Madrid.
Sure, they may be royalty, but famously close sisters Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia of Spain are also, like the rest of the world, fans of Bad Bunny.
It was a big day for the sisters that included meeting Pope Leo XIV and seeing the singer during a girls’ night out in Madrid. “They were in a private box having the time of their lives,” journalist Javi Hoyos told Hola! of seeing the sisters with their friends.

Hoyos, who posted a clip of the princesses to TikTok, said that they were not in the Casita at the show—the VIP area—at the June 7 show at Riyadh Air Metropolitano. Bad Bunny visited Madrid as part of his Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour.
Leonor, 20, is the future queen of Spain, and she and sister Sofia, 19, have long been close. They are the only children of King Felipe and Queen Letizia.

“I love seeing them like regular people,” Hoyos said. “These images are great because they remind us they’re human, they’re young women enjoying themselves.”
Bad Bunny’s show Sunday was sold out, and the sisters’ outing came just hours after they met the pope with their parents on June 6. The pope even joked about how his visit overlapped with Bad Bunny’s, quipping, “Would young people rather see Bad Bunny or the Pope?”
“Many will be going to the Bad Bunny concert, but I’m convinced there will also be some who come to see the Pope,” he told the press during the flight from Rome to Madrid. “And that says a lot.”

The king, queen, and their daughters welcomed the pontiff to the Royal Palace in Madrid as his visit kicked off; they met him again on Sunday as he celebrated the Corpus Christi Mass at the Plaza de Cibeles—making for a very busy Sunday for Leonor and Sofia.
At the show, Leonor dressed casually in jeans, a red T-shirt, and a matching red handbag, sunglasses perched atop her head (instead of the crown she will one day wear). Sofia, for her part, wore an understated all-white look, Hola! reported.

Leonor and Sofia follow in their mother Letizia’s footsteps of enjoying live music. The sisters took in a Rosalia show at Madrid’s Movistar Arena in April—where Letizia joined them for the festivities.
“They had an amazing time,” journalist Marta Riesco told Hola!. “They arrived a few minutes after the concert started and left before the opening notes of ‘Magnolias.’ Such a shame, because for me it was one of the best songs of the night.”
Leonor and Sofia’s close relationship was on display as they met the pope, as they linked arms for what Tatler called “their most high-profile appearance to date.” Leonor, dressed in a powder blue dress, leaned over at one point to whisper something to Sofia, who wore a mint green suit.

On National Day, Leonor made a loving reference to her sister in a speech dedicated to the guest of honor, tennis legend Serena Williams.
“It’s wonderful that you say without Venus [Williams, her sister], there wouldn’t have been a Serena,” Leonor said, adding that sisters are “our great allies and travel companions” as she smiled at Sofia in the crowd.
