Nikola Tsolov’s second-place finish in the F2 feature race at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix lifted him into the lead of the drivers’ championship five rounds into the season.
Gabriele Mini now trails the Bulgarian by three points after his fourth position in Spain, the Alpine junior unable to catch Alex Dunne in the closing stages to stay level on points.
Rafael Camara won from pole to kickstart his back-to-back F3-F2 title hopes, with Dunne rounding out the podium to stay in touch, a further five points back.
John Bennett’s seventh-place finish, including the extra point for fastest lap, got him on the board for the campaign, leaving just Rafael Villagomez in the scoreless column.

Teams’ championship standings
Campos Racing increased its stranglehold on the teams’ championship in Spain, now leading Rodin Motorsport by 28 points.
There was no change in the order, other than Trident drawing level with Hitech on 50 points apiece.
