The pedestrian who died in a hit-and-run Valencia crash Friday night has been identified.
Dion Mumphery, 39, was the pedestrian who died in the hit-and-run Valencia crash, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Around 8:20 p.m. Friday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian at the corner of Magic Mountain Parkway and Tourney Road in Valencia, according to Shirley Miller, a spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Units arrived on scene to find a patient on the floor, pulseless and apneic,” Justin Yang, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said at the time of the incident. “The vehicle involved fled the scene. The patient was attempting to cross the street, but not in a designated crosswalk.”
Mumphery was pronounced dead on arrival, according to officials.
As of Tuesday morning, traffic investigators with the SCV Sheriff’s Station have not released any updates into their investigation of the hit-and-run crash.
