Sevilla are eyeing a move for Celtic loan star Luis Palma next season – if they can steer clear of relegation from La Liga.
The Honduran international is currently on loan at Polish side Lech Poznan, with that stint set to conclude in the coming weeks before he returns to Scotland.
Lech boss Niels Frederiksen insisted last week they remain interested in turning the move permanent in a £3.5million deal.
But the winger revealed while on international duty that he expects to head back to Celtic at the end of the season, where he still has two years left on his contract.
However, reports in Spain claim Palma is on Sevilla’s radar, with the club weighing up a move either on loan or on a permanent basis.
Any deal could hinge on where the seven-time Europa League winners are playing their football next term. They currently sit just two places and two points clear of the relegation zone in Spain’s top flight.
Palma appears unlikely to have a long-term future at Parkhead, having already been sent out on two loan spells, including a stint in Greece last season with Olympiacos.
Lech boss Frederiksen stated last week that a decision on Palma is imminent.
He said: “There will be time to decide on his future and, in my opinion, he’s also quite happy in Poznan.
“However, none of us knows what will happen in the summer.”
