The 27-year-old is expected to feature in the starting lineup alongside Vinicius Jr. for today’s crucial match.

Ahead of the match, manager Álvaro Arbeloa noted that the squad must improve in several areas to be successful.

“We need to improve many aspects of our game. It’s important to make the most of our chances. We won’t have as many as in the first leg. It’s all about confidence. We have to score if we want to win and go through. We have to play very well tomorrow.”

Despite being down on aggregate, Arbeloa remained confident in his team’s ability to turn the tie around.

“For a start, we’re Real Madrid. If there’s one team that can come to this stadium and stage a comeback, it’s us. We’re a team that never gives up, the team with 15 European Cups. We’re Madrid and we’ll return with our victory or having given our all.”
