Miami‘s unmistakable brand of poolside glamour has found a Mediterranean address. Overlooking the modern Port Fòrum marina, Cosmico — located atop the city’s SLS hotel — brings a dose of South Beach energy to the Catalan capital, where infinity pools, 360-degree panoramic views, and a vibrant social scene collide on one of Barcelona‘s most impressive rooftops.
Designed by Ennismore‘s in-house AIME Studios, the rooftop pool club strikes a balance between polished resort luxury and playful escapism. One of the largest rooftop venues in the city, the space unfolds around two infinity pools framed by plush sunbeds, private cabanas, and premium loungers positioned for uninterrupted views across the harbour and the Mediterranean. By day, guests settle into long afternoons beneath the Barcelona sun; by evening, DJs, sunset sessions, and a well-curated music programme transform the rooftop into one of the city’s places to see and be seen.
We arrive on a blisteringly hot July weekday and stretch ourselves on a luxurious lounger, before ordering a pair of signature cocktails from the central bar to take at the edge of one of the rooftop’s two infinity pools. Light bites, sushi and drinks can be served directly to your spot, while the al fresco restaurant offers the full menu in a more leisurely setting. We opt to enjoy decadent oysters, a delicious boat of fresh sushi, and an ice-cold crisp white wine under the shade on our lounger; before taking another drink at the bar area to watch the sun set over the city and the mountains beyond, another Barcelona summer’s day brought to a fitting end.
Whether enjoying lunch poolside or taking a table at the open-air restaurant, dining is very much a part of the Cosmico experience. The culinary offering is built around fresh, shareable dishes inspired by Japanese and pan-Asian flavours: vibrant salads, generous bowls, crispy chicken, assorted sushi, rice bites and those signature floating sushi boats that bring a playful touch to the menu, while large-format cocktails provide a fitting accompaniment as the atmosphere shifts from relaxed daytime lounging to sunset drinks and weekend after-dark DJ sets.
This summer also sees Cosmico expand beyond food and music with an exclusive collaboration between SLS Barcelona and Spanish resortwear label Pardo Hats. Founded by Sol Pardo, the capsule collection comprises four designs inspired by different moments across the hotel’s summer calendar, from afternoons beside the pools to sunset gatherings and DJ-led evenings on the rooftop. Three lightweight mesh caps in vibrant shades reflect the energy of Port Fòrum’s festival season, while a fourth deep-blue design, finished with a star motif, pays tribute to the Mediterranean and relaxed days spent beside the water.
“Each hat in this collection is designed to accompany a specific emotion and moment of summer. We were inspired by SLS Barcelona’s ability to create its own unique universe facing the Mediterranean, where design, entertainment, and lifestyle come together so naturally,” explains Sol himself.
From sun-soaked afternoons beside the pools to cocktails at sunset, Cosmico delivers a rooftop experience where striking design, sweeping views, refined dining, and an unmistakably glamorous atmosphere keep the energy flowing well into the night.
